What an Egg-stravagant design, no yolk!

The Ovalia or Egg Pod Chair has been around as long as the old egg and spoon race! It was designed by Henrik Thor-Larsen back in 1968 . As you've probably guessed it was based on the well known Ball Chair by Eero Aarnio (which we also sell) but is slightly more narrow and shaped just like an egg, you may recognize it from the Men in Black movies.

The original design sadly finished production in 1978 and our replica versions are keeping the design going! Made using the same hollow fiberglass shell, the interior is covered in a weave wool fabric and has 2 foam filled cushions included for you to cocoon yourself in comfort. Our Ovalia Egg Pod is suitable for home or commercial use (though as with anything fiberglass due care must be taken to prevent damage especially where young people are concerned) and they look great in pairs or multiples and have a full 360 swivel mechanism making them ideal for use as centerpieces in large rooms with multiple focal points.
