The CH058 armchair, also known as the Wing Chair, is a design by Hans J. Wegner from 1960. As a re-edition, this armchair has been reproduced since 2006 by Carl Hansen using the original drawings. Now as then, the Wing Chair enthrals with its unusual winged silhouette and comfortable padding.
Armchair with Sculptural Appearance
The backrest and seat of the CH058 are designed so that the back, shoulders, neck and head are perfectly padded for varied sitting positions. The virtually indestructible stainless steel legs lend the chair an ornamental appearance, which is further boosted by the winged outline.
The chair’s unusual shape lends it a sculptural appearance and it is therefore suited to public as well as private spaces. In a free standing space, the Wing Chair’s full effect is revealed.
The CH058 by Carl Hansen consists of a frame made of solid beech wood, stainless steel legs and foam. A variety of leather and textile upholstery is available.
